Welcoming New Executive Directors
Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA (NWRM) has announced two key leadership changes to strengthen its mission of advocating for children in the 14th Judicial District (Routt, Moffat, and Grand counties).
Jim McCormick has been named Executive Director, bringing more than 40 years of nonprofit leadership experience. In his previous role as the Senior Vice President at Colorado Christian University, McCormick oversaw major enrollment growth and student life initiatives before relocating to Steamboat Springs. He holds degrees from the University of Northern Colorado and the University of Colorado.
Lauren Rising, a six-year veteran of NWRM CASA, has been promoted to Assistant Executive Director. With a background in social work and child welfare, Rising has been instrumental in volunteer recruitment, training, fundraising, and organizational stability.

CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties is excited to announce that Vickie Ricord has been named Chief Executive Officer, following a unanimous recommendation from the Board of Directors.
Vickie has been part of the CASA family for nearly a decade, serving in key leadership roles including Interim CEO, COO, and Chief Program Officer. She brings more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, child advocacy, and organizational development. Under her guidance during the leadership transition, CASA of Adams and Broomfield Counties has continued to grow while maintaining stability and community trust.
Board leaders highlighted her exceptional vision, financial stewardship, and unwavering commitment to CASA’s mission. Vickie has spearheaded program innovations, built strong community partnerships, and fostered a collaborative, trauma-informed workplace culture. Recognized statewide as a leader in child advocacy, she is also a foster parent, community volunteer, and three-time Colorado CASA Staff Person of the Year.
