If you have a heart, you can show up for a kid.
Across Colorado, local CASA organizations support vulnerable children and families by training volunteers to help them navigate the challenges of the child welfare system or risks at home. Take the first step today and learn how you can be a champion for a Colorado kid.
They are waiting for you
Every kid deserves an advocate.
CASA volunteers show up, listen, bring joy and provide caring support to these kids. Volunteer advocates speak up for children in court and stay connected with kids' families, schools and communities to ensure their wants and needs are heard and valued as decisions are made about their future.
No Experience Necessary
CASA programs train and support caring, dependable people like you to volunteer as advocates in your own community. Judges for child welfare cases appoint volunteers to ensure kids' voices are heard in a system that can be complex and confusing, especially for a child. Volunteers also support kids and families who are at risk, helping to avoid the court system entirely.
Unfortunately, too many kids in Colorado face this experience alone. If you have a heart, you can show up and champion a kid. If you can listen, you can advocate for a kid who needs you.
CASA programs are located across the state. Complete the form to be connected with your local organization today.
You can advocate for a kid who needs you.
“In my role as a CASA, I have developed a truer and more meaningful relationship with the family I support than I have experienced in any previous volunteering role.”

What to expect as a volunteer:
When you volunteer with Show Up for Kids, you become a Court Appointed Special Advocate who helps support a child involved in the court system due to abuse or neglect. No previous experience is required, and you will receive full training and ongoing guidance.
As a volunteer, you build a consistent relationship with a child, listen to their needs, and provide stability during a difficult time. You connect with the important people in their life such as caregivers, teachers, and social workers, and use what you learn to ensure the child’s voice is heard in court and in key decisions.
The work can be emotional and requires commitment, but it is incredibly rewarding. Volunteers often say it is one of the most meaningful experiences of their lives. Your presence can change a child’s future.
When you show up, children win. -
